Awards 2017 (Exelon Building at Harbor Point)<p>​The Exelon Building at Harbor Point has been honored with the titles of Best in Show and Best New Construction for 2017’s Baltimore Business Journal Best in Real Estate Inc. Awards. The winners are selected based on dollar value, job creation, creativity and overall impact on the community. The building opened on November 4, 2016 and houses approximately 1,500 employees. It has achieved LEED Platinum standards and features a 49.4 kilowatt rooftop solar PV system that will produce 62,662 kilowatt hours of renewable energy annually.  During the building’s construction, Exelon joined with the Center for Urban Families and Job Opportunities Task Force on a work readiness and construction skills training programs Baltimore City residents.  In addition, approximately 75 percent of the project’s total cost — including construction, design, furnishings, equipment and more — was invested with minority- and women-owned businesses. </p>

The companies were honored for leading the way in energy efficiency by giving customers information, services and products to save energy and money, and protect the environment.​</p>

Exelon has been a top performer in these disclosure indexes since they were initiated nearly ten years ago. </p>

​We continue to set goals to match or improve our performance levels.
In 2015, Exelon’s performance was an OSHA recordable rate of 0.46, an OSHA Days Away, Restricted and Transfer (DART) rate of 0.23, even with 0.23 in 2014 and down from 0.31 in 2013. ​

Exelon’s fleetwide emissions rates for nitrogen oxide (NOx), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and carbon dioxide (CO2) were 97, 99 and 93 percent lower than industry averages.
