Senator Scott Wagner Visits Peach Bottom

On May 24, Peach Bottom hosted an All Hands Meeting with guest speaker Pennsylvania state senator and gubernatorial candidate Scott Wagner, who represents York County. Site Vice President Pat Navin discussed the site’s recent INPO evaluation, lauding the station for such a strong evaluation. He also discussed this week’s NJ policy milestone, the Building Enduring Value business imperative, and the PJM auction results.

Generation Nation champion Shanna Bobbins gave a speech encouraging employees to join Generation Nation and get active on social media. Additionally, Austin Martin gave a personal plea for employees to talk about the value of nuclear energy during barbecues over Memorial Day Weekend.

Senator Wagner spoke about his interest in learning more about nuclear energy and the importance of employee advocacy to ensure policymakers know the key statistics and information necessary to make good decisions. He mentioned he is very interested in becoming more educated around the issues that impact our industry. He also provided more background on his career and policy positions, including balancing the budget in Harrisburg.

The visit was a great success, with Senator Wagner stating he looks forward to working with Exelon to better understand our industry moving forward.
