Quad Cities Station Plant Sale Helps Charity

The Quad Cities Station chapter of Women In Nuclear (WIN) is proud to have raised more than $1,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mississippi Valley recently via the organization’s annual plant sale. WIN’s Beverly Brown (pictured) leads the fundraiser on site each year.

"We are happy each year to do our part in supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters. This organization does wonderful work for local children in both Illinois and Iowa. They are serving youth who might not otherwise receive the opportunities they get via BBBS, and that is very admirable," said Beverly.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters Mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported 1-to-1 relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.
