
On
Tuesday, Aug. 7, Quad
Cities Station hosted a group of students from the Boys & Girls Club of the
Mississippi Valley. Quad Cities Station has supported the Boys & Girls Club
for many years with donations and sponsorships, however this is the first group
of youth program participants the station has hosted. The students got a lesson
in nuclear 101 from
Advocacy Champion
Zach Bundies and a lesson on the station Fish Hatchery and environmental
efforts from Jeremiah Haas. They also got a tour of the simulator with Tom
Resig and others,
and were treated to lunch at the station.

It is a member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, a national organization of non-profit, non-sectarian private agencies serving young people in clubs nationwide.
