Braidwood Station recently sponsored a mobile food pantry event at Reed-Custer Middle School helping to distribute food to local needy families during the holidays. Working with Reed-Custer School district and Northern Illinois Food Bank, station employees and their families volunteered handing out food and helping individuals carry items to their vehicles.
More than 55 families and 220 individuals visited the mobile pantry Dec. 14 and received food ahead of the holidays. Thank you to the school district for providing volunteers and a venue for the mobile pantry. The event also received positive news coverage in the Braidwood Journal.
