Limerick Generating Station License Renewal

​Exelon Nuclear submitted a license renewal application for this facility to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). We’re committed to producing clean, safe and reliable energy for southeastern Pennsylvania homes and businesses for decades to come.

Limerick’s Unit 1 original license continues through Oct. 26, 2024.

Limerick’s Unit 2 original license continues through June 22, 2029.

With license renewal, Limerick Generating Station Unit 1 and Unit 2 will be able to continue to produce clean, low-cost energy until 2044 and 2049.
