LaSalle County Generating Station License Renewal

Exelon Nuclear submitted a license renewal application for this facility to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The application was approved on October 19, 2016. We’re committed to producing clean, safe and reliable energy for Illinois homes and businesses for decades to come.

With license renewal complete, LaSalle Generating Station Unit 1 is ​licensed through April 17, 2042, and Unit 2 is licensed through Dec. 16, 2043.
